A daytrip to Houat

I spent a gorgeous day on Houat a few years ago. The only reason we went was that there were no no suitable ferries to Belle-Ile. I particularly remember snorkelling in beautiful clear water and seeing a bright blue starfish - it's an image that stayed with me.

You'll easily get around the island in a day on foot, going from beach to beach.

I can definitely recommend it if you're staying in or around Quiberon. But bring your sunhat and cream - it's very exposed, and I'm not sure there are any shops there at all.

But soooo peaceful! Enjoy...
